About Carpet
The rug took about two years to weave with more than 1200 weavers working around the clock. The carpet has more than 2.2 billion knots. It is made of almost 35000 kg fine quality wool and 12000kg cotton. It was woven on nine separate looms. This Persian Carpet was made by Iran's Carpet Company and designed by Iranian Artist Ali Khaliqi. The design of the carpet is called "Toranj Afshan" - a composition of flowers, leaves,  branches and plants dotted in different directions.

Size
This translates to a Persian carpet masterpiece which covers over 60,546 square feet!  That is over 1100 times the size of the average 6x9 rug.
